Children can feather a turkey during Nov.

LEETONIA

In November, children in kindergarten through grade five are invited to help feather a turkey at Leetonia Community Public Library, 181 Walnut St.

When age-appropriate books are checked out, a coloring sheet will be sent home and a feather with the child’s name will be added to the bald turkey on the bulletin board in the children’s area.

The first 20 children to add a feather will receive a coupon for an ice cream treat donated by the Leetonia Dairy Queen.

Also during November, the library is collecting personal care products as well as cleaning supplies for the needy. They will be distributed by the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry at St. Patrick Church in Leetonia.
