US must stand with Israel; annihilate Syria and ISIS
After the beheading of two Americans and one Brit and probably more to come, I have my solution to this problem.
Taking into account that these scumbags aren’t human and that they just love getting killed for their idiotic cause, give them their wish. I would make a parking lot out of Syria and take no prisoners.
When Harry Truman sat down and made the decision that no more American soldiers were going to die with an invasion of Japan he did the right thing.
I just read an article that criticized Israel for bombing Hamas in the Gaza strip. These are American journalists that are doing the criticizing, can you believe that? What do they want to do, turn Israel against us too? Hamas sends thousands of missiles into Israel killing innocents but when Israelis retaliate, they are considered the aggressors.
We have to stand with Israel because they know how to fight these nuts.
Peace talks don’t work with these kind of people because their goal is to take back territory lost in the 1960s war. They started that war and want to start another one but are cowardly — hiding behind masks and putting their rocket launchers near schools and hospitals.
They will never defeat Israel, and the U.S. had better stand beside Israel all the way because Israelis know how to deal with lunatics. They learned their lesson well from World War II.
They were like sheep in a pack of wolves and we have seen the results many times. Wake up America! No more Mister Nice Guy.
We have to continue bombing Syria and ISIS scum until they are annihilated.

Due to a typographical error, a letter to the editor in Sunday’s edition incorrectly identified one of the groups that the writers — Don and Deb Matthews of Youngstown — wanted to single out for praise. The Matthews wanted to send congratulations and thanks to the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. for its work in helping to clean up city neighborhoods during the United Way 2014 Day of Caring.
