Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., will serve a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church. The meal consists of chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, salad, bread and butter, pie and a beverage. The cost is $7. No reservations are necessary. Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road (Route 224), Poland, will host a cavatelli dinner with homemade sauce from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Nov. 5, or until sold out. Dinners include two meatballs, tossed salad, bread and butter and two cookies for $9. A smaller portion of cavatelli and one meatball costs $5. Pasta fagioli costs $6 per quart, and pasta sauce costs $5 per quart. Sales are takeout only. Place your order, remain in your car and your dinner will be delivered to you.

FRIDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at 330-755-1316, and orders can be picked up starting at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 11 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders may be picked up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at 330-792-1005.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for packaged cold potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $6 per dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.50 a dozen. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi on Fridays. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 to 11 a.m. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

SATURDAY

Bessemer Presbyterian Church, 29 N. Main St., will serve a ham loaf dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Meals are $9 for adults, $5 for children 6 to 12 and free for kids 5 and under. Takeouts will be available. Good Hope Lutheran Church, 98 Homestead Drive, Boardman, will be celebrating its 85th Anniversary. The church will host a rigatoni dinner from 1 to 5 p.m. and a concert from 3 to 4 p.m. by its praise band Leap of Faith. Tickets are $7.50 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts are available. Thrivent Financial has provided funds for the Action Team coordinating the event. All proceeds will go toward Good Hope’s 85th Anniversary gift to the North American Lutheran Seminary. New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will host its annual turkey dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. The meal will include all the trimmings and dessert. The cost is $10 for adults, $4 for children 5 to 12, and free for children under 5.

Vienna United Methodist Church, 4265 Warren-Sharon Road, will host a swiss steak dinner from 4 to 6 p.m. The meal includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, applesauce, bread and butter, beverage and homemade dessert. Takeouts will be available. Adult dinners cost $9 and dinners for children 5 to 12 are $5. Children 4 and under eat for free. The church is handicap accessible. Springfield Township E.M.S. Auxiliary/Association will sell beef tips and noodles dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. Paul Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown. Donations will be taken for the dinners, and all proceeds go to the auxiliary/association. Takeouts will be available.

St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 U.S. Route 422, Pulaski, Pa., will serve a breakfast brunch from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets for adults are $8 and $4 for children. Breakfast comprises french toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with a choice of maple or peach syrup, scrambled eggs plain or with peppers, onions and cheese, home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk.

St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, will host its monthly Sauce and Songs program with a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the church social hall. It will include salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Carryouts will be available and containers will be provided. The dinner costs $8 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. Funds will benefit First Night Youngstown. A concert will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and will feature harpist Kirk Kupensky and cellist Rev. Vit Fiala. Donations are welcome. Struthers Rotary Club will be have its 59th annual Pancake and Sausage (and Egg) Breakfast from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Struthers High School cafeteria. Proceeds benefit the scholarship fund. Tickets for the breakfast can be purchased from any member of the Struthers Rotary or at the door. Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for children under 12. There also will be a 50-50 raffle. Assisting will be the Struthers High School Interact Club, Boys and Girls Basketball teams, Boy Scout Troop 101 and the Struthers Rotary Community Corp. Also at this year’s breakfast: the Struthers H.S. Drug Testing Committee has been invited to sell the “Defend Struthers” T-Shirts at the breakfast. The YSU Rotaract Club will be there also.

VFW Triangle Post 2799 Ladies Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon. The home-style breakfast menu consists of eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea. The prices are $6 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.

Vincent United Methodist Church, Walnut Street, Jackson Center, Pa., will host a stuffed chicken breast dinner from 12:30 p.m. until sold out. It will include potatoes, coleslaw, vegetable, applesauce, dessert and beverage. Dinners are $8 for adults and $4 for 10 and under.

MONDAY

Canfield United Methodist Church, 27 S. Broad St., will host its 74th annual turkey dinner. The dinner will be served family style, with all the trimmings, and pie is included.
