Firefighters revive kittens

YOUNGSTOWN

Reports said firefighters and paramedics were able to revive three lifeless cats found in a kitchen fire at a 529 Parkcliffe Ave. just before 6 p.m. Tuesday.

Firefighters were called after the homeowner said she was cooking something, turned the stove off and the oven blew up, reports said. Reports said the home was full of clutter and there were six cats inside and three of them ran out.

The other cats were found lifeless in the cellar from smoke inhalation but they were able to be revived, reports said. The Red Cross is helping the two women who live there with living arrangements, reports said.

Reports said there was a leak in a natural gas line to the stove which caused the fire. Damage is listed at $2,500. There were no injuries.
