20 people apply to become new Mill Creek MetroParks exec director


YOUNGSTOWN — Twenty candidates have applied to be the next executive director of Mill Creek MetroParks, according to a list of applicants obtained by The Vindicator.

The deadline for applications was last Friday, and the park administration continued to receive applications early this week.

The applicants included at least four people who currently work for the park system.

James Willock is the MetroParks police chief; Keith Kaiser is horticulture director; Kevin Smith is administrative director and treasurer; and Justin Rogers is the park planning manager.
