YOUNGSTOWN

A man who was wounded about 9:35 p.m. Monday at an East Midlothian Boulevard apartment complex has died.

The death of Cory Cracraft, 27, of East Avondale Avenue, is the city's 14th homicide of 2014 and the second in three days.

Chief of Detectives Capt. Brad Blackburn said Cracraft was shot at the 838 E. Midlothian Blvd. apartment where his estranged wife was with her boyfriend.

Blackburn said the victim came to the apartment and fought with the boyfriend and a friend of his. Both of those men had guns, Blackburn said. The friend was hit on the head with a glass bottle and treated for a large cut.

Blackburn said it is unsure if charges will be filed. Investigators are conferring with prosecutors.

On Saturday, Shaniece Wells, 23, died after being shot at a home on East Boston Avenue. A man is in custody for her death.
