WARREN
The Altrusa Club of the Warren area will have its 42nd annual arts and crafts show from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. NW.
The oldest craft show in the area, which will feature 75 craftsmen, is known for the quality of the arts and crafts presented for sale. They include pictures, jewelry, clothing, baskets, wooden items, wreaths, Christmas ornaments and fine sewing items.
The admission fee is a $1.50 donation, and parking is free. Free prizes will be given every half-hour, and there will be a raffle for a lottery tree.
For shoppers’ enjoyment, music will fill the air. A cafe area provides a place to sit and enjoy a lunch of vegetable beef soup, a variety of sandwiches and homemade pies. Homemade candy and a bake sale also will be featured.
All profits will be donated to local charities. For information call President Jean Tunstall at 330-372-5525.
Altrusa was begun in 1917 and has chapters all over the world. It was founded to help women learn. Some of the projects it supports are Adopt-a-School, a scholarship for a woman each year and children’s rehabilitation. This is the group’s only fundraiser.
