Even though Taylor Swift’s latest smash, “Shake It Off,” has been shaking up the airwaves for about two months already, her album “1989” doesn’t actually drop until tomorrow. So, what was topping the charts — in music, movies and television — back in 1989, the year Swift was born? Here’s a sampling:

v Fine Young Cannibals, “The Raw and the Cooked”: The British band topped the Billboard album charts for seven weeks with this album that produced the No. 1 singles “She Drives Me Crazy” and “Good Thing.”

v Madonna, “Like a Prayer”: The Material Girl’s prayers were answered with this smash that held the top spot on the album charts for six weeks and produced a trio of hits: “Cherish,” “Express Yourself” and the controversial title track.

v “Batman”: Holy ka-ching! The box- office bonanza starring Michael Keaton as the Caped Crusader has raked in $411 million worldwide and spawned a franchise for Warner Bros. that’s had more mileage than the Batmobile.

v “Roseanne”: The Conner family, headed by Roseanne (Roseanne Barr) and her husband, Dan (John Goodman), were TV’s royal family in the land of the Nielsens.

v “The Cosby Show”: Unlike the Conners, the Huxtables, with Bill Cosby as the family patriarch, were a kinder, gentler and far more affluent bunch, and their antics made for must-see TV on Thursday nights.

“2 Broke Girls” (8 p.m., CBS): Guest-star alert: In the Season 4 premiere of “2 Broke Girls,” Kim Kardashian drops by. But, no, she’s certainly not broke.

“Mr. Dynamite: THE RISE OF JAMES BROWN” (9 P.M., HBO): Produced by Mick Jagger, “Mr. Dynamite: The Rise of James Brown,” is an exhilarating profile that mainly focuses on the musical contributions and social activism of the “hardest working man in show business.”

“Mike Tyson Mysteries” (10:30 P.M., CARTOON NETWORK): “Mike Tyson Mysteries” is a new animated “Adult Swim” comedy that has the former boxing champ solving problems in the style of “Scooby Doo” and Mr. T. We only hope that no ears are chomped in the process.
