Campbell police make drug arrests


CAMPBELL

Police made four drug-related arrests in traffic stops late between Friday and Sunday nights.

Police arrested Sloan Doni, 25, of Struthers on charges of possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia at 10:18 p.m. Friday. Police conducted a traffic stop for Doni’s license plate on 12th Street. Police smelled marijuana and found 2 grams of marijuana and a marijuana pipe in Doni’s pocket. He was arrested and issued a court date of 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Campbell Municipal Court.

Police also arrested Edward Desantis, 25, of Struthers and Amber McBride, 20, of Yougstown on charges of possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia at 2:42 a.m. Saturday on Wilson Avenue. Police conducted a traffic stop and smelled marijuana. Police found 1.1 grams of marijuana in Desantis’ pockets and 5.5 grams of marijuana in McBride’s pockets. Both were passengers in the vehicle. Both people were arrested and issued a court date of 9 a.m. Friday at the Campbell Municipal Court.

Last, police arrested Robert Rivera, 32, of Youngstown on charges of drug possession and driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol at 3:44 a.m. Sunday on Blossom Avenue. Police smelled alcohol on Rivera’s breath and conducted a sobriety test. Rivera failed the test. Police found multiple pills in Rivera’s pockets. He was arrested and was issued a court date for 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Campbell Municipal Court.
