Arrest warrant issued in latest Youngstown homicide

YOUNGSTOWN

Police have issued a warrant for a man who is a suspect in a murder Saturday evening.

Police are looking for 25-year-old Keith Sims. He is wanted on a charge of murder.

He is wanted for the shooting death of 23-year-old Shaniece Wells at an 884 E. Boston Ave. home about 11:20 p.m. Saturday.

Police say Wells was part of a group of women who came to the home following a fight between two men. Sims was one of the men involved in that earlier fight and witnesses said he fired a shot at Wells, who was hit just as the group of women was leaving.

She was driven to St. Elizabeth Health Center Boardman Campus and then transferred to the main St. Elizabeth facility, where she died.
