SENIOR SIDELIGHTS

A Gathering Place Senior Day Event will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 10 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield. There will be chair exercises. Guardian Angels of Ohio, a volunteer guardianship program of Trumbull County Probate Court, is looking for new volunteers. Angel volunteers receive training to become advocates who reach out as friends to seniors who may need a friendly phone call, a visit in a nursing home, or a visit at home. Angels also are involved in planning special events for seniors such as health fairs and Make a Difference Day projects.
