Man accused of skipping rape trial, killing, robbing man he met online

NORRISTOWN, Pa.

A central Pennsylvania man who purportedly skipped his September trial on child rape charges has been charged with robbing and killing a suburban Philadelphia man he met on the Internet.

Police say 28-year-old Chad Marshall Wilcox of Williamsport killed 36-year-old Manuel Hakimian and used his bank and credit cards in at least five states before he was arrested in North Carolina.

Wilcox was arraigned Friday on charges of first-degree murder, robbery and related offenses in the Sept. 21 killing.

He’s being held without bail.
