Karen Biery of Damascus is announcing the publication of her fourth novel, “Speakeasy,” inspired by a historic building in Salem, and book-signing events.

The schedule follows:

Nov. 1: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at West Branch Middle School, 14409 Beloit-Snodes Road, Beloit.

Nov. 8: 3 to 6 p.m. at Tavern on the Square, 108 N. Market St., New Wilmington, Pa.

Nov. 15: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Courtyard Square, 645 E. State St., Salem.

Nov. 19: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Look Nook at Salem Regional Health Center, 1995 E. State St., Salem.

Nov. 29: 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Salem Historical Society in the Dale Shaffer Library gift shop, 239 S. Lundy, Salem.
