Phillips/Sekanick Architects Inc. of Warren was selected as a recipient of a 2014-2017 IDP Film award for demonstrating a dedication to the development of our emerging professionals through mentorship, training opportunities, and a commitment to the passing of the architectural registration exam. The firm developed a study program for interns to help them gain experience. The firm is the only one in Ohio to be recognized for its efforts and one of 16 firms in the nation to receive the award.

The Home Savings and Loan Co. announced Nancy Tabor as area manager for Trumbull County. Home Savings is a subsidiary of United Community Financial Corp.

Tabor joined Home Savings in 2012, and before accepting her new position, she served as the senior branch manager for both the Kirk Road and Newport Glen offices. Tabor attended Hondros College to earn her investment licenses.
