The Vindicator will publish a list of religious services honoring veterans.

Information should be submitted by 5 p.m. Oct. 29 for publication Nov. 1; Veterans Day is Nov. 11.

Gospel Sunday

WARREN

Big Gospel Sunday will be observed at 10 a.m. Sunday at Central Christian Church, 2051 E. Market St., with arrangements by Brenda Pringle, director of music.

Guest musicians

LIBERTY

Liberty Presbyterian Chuch, 1451 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, will host guest musicians Dave and Linda Taylor at worship at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Quartet music

LIBERTY

The music department of Generations Church (formerly Ebenezer Church of God in Christ), 319 Goldie Road, will present an evening of quartet music at 5 p.m. Sunday featuring Boot and the Boys of Akron.

The event is free and open to all.

CWU event

YOUNGSTOWN

Church Women United will host World Community Day at 9:30 a.m. Nov. 7 at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave., with the theme “Through God Our Hands Can Heal.”

Jewish/Christian

LIBERTY

Jewish/Christian Studies/ North will focus on evil and sin during a program Nov. 5 at Temple El Emeth, 3970 Logan Way.

The group gathers at 12:30 p.m. with the study at 1.

Jewish views on the topic will be discussed by Rabbi Joseph Schonberger.

NORTH LIMA

The movie “God’s Not Dead” will be shown at 6 p.m. Nov. 2 at North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive.

Shabbat speaker

Jim Tressel, president of Youngstown State University, will speak at 7 p.m. Nov. 14 in the Lishmoa v’Lilmond: To Listen and Learn Shabbat Speaker Series at Congregation Rodef Sholom, 1119 Elm St. His topic will be “Macte Virtute.”

Special event

YOUNGSTOWN

The Alpha & Omega First Baptist Church, 3120 Winton Ave., will host its annual Men and Women’s Day during worship at 11 a.m. Sunday.

Speaker for the men will be Brother Kevin Brown of the church. Evangelist Faye Wallace of United Faith Fellowship Church of God in Meadville, Pa., will address the women.

The theme is “Unity in Christ.” Musical selections will be rendered by the church’s male chorus and Total Praise Choir.

The Rev. Raymond Mason is pastor.

Jerusalem Baptist Church, 2003 Wilson Ave., will conduct a pre-anniversary musical with choirs and performers at 4 p.m. Sunday. A free-will offering will be taken.
