Liberty residents to hail sidewalk

Officials will gather at the Campus Nursing Home, 196 Colonial Drive, at 11 a.m. Monday to open a new sidewalk that runs from Belmont to Logan avenues.

The sidewalk was a joint venture of Trumbull County, which provided an enhancement grant of $150,000, and Liberty Township, which provided $38,000.

The project has been an undertaking for Mark Meszaros, a resident of Campus Nursing Home, who has worked with local government officials to bring access to Belmont Avenue for the residents with motorized wheelchairs.

Colonial Drive also has an exceptional amount of foot traffic.
