Name: Morgan Montgomery; Theodora Constantine

Instrument: Flute; Flute

Q. When did you start playing your instrument?

A. Montgomery: I started to play my instrument in the fifth grade. I chose to play the flute because my mom used to play it.

Constantine: I started playing the flute in the fifth grade. I picked the flute because it has a very pretty sound, and it looked fun to play.

Q. Best memory of being in band/marching band?

A. Montgomery: My best memory of marching band would be going to Massillon Band Night each year.

Constantine: My favorite memory of band would be my first year of attending Massillon Band Night. We are the only band in Mahoning County area that is invited each year to attend this event. There are about eight bands that perform from Stack, Cuyahoga and Tuscarawas and other counties.

Q. Why is music important to you?

A. Montgomery: Music is important because it can be calming. Some of my favorite [songs] were “Thanks for the Memories,” “All of the Lights” and the “Pop Medle”y that we performed.

Constantine: Music is important to me because it is a way to relax. My favorite marching band songs were “Party Rock Anthem” and “All of the Lights.”

Q. If you were speaking to a group of students about joining the band, what would be your number 1 reason for joining the band?

Montgomery: Band can be a lot of fun. You will have a great time.

Constantine: Band is a great way to make new friends, and it is a lot of fun.

Q. What college do you hope to attend/intended major?

A. Montgomery: I would like to major in Biology at Akron University.

Constantine: I am still undecided on which college and my major at this time.
