Energy customers get adult-service number

Direct Energy recently sent out 1,897 letters to Niles residents about new pricing options for natural gas services, and mistakenly left the phone number to an adult phone service instead of its customer service center, according to a report from Vindicator broadcast partner 21 WFMJ-TV.

One digit was off from Direct Energy’s Customer Care Team’s number, which is 1-866-803-4618.

According to the report, the company sent out new letters apologizing for the mistake.
