Sharpsville, Pa., charged with Hubbard murder, waives prelim hearing

GIRARD — A man accused of murder in the shotgun death of a friend waived his right to a preliminary hearing in Girard Municipal Court this morning.

Wesley Williams, 34, of Masury is charged in the Oct. 16 death of Scott Williams, 22, of Sharpsville, Pa. They are not related

Scott Williams was shot in the head with a shotgun at a house in Hubbard Township owned by Wesley Williams' brother.

Williams' bond was reduced from $250,000 to $100,000, much to the relief of his family and friends who were there to support him. He said he did not know the gun was loaded and the shooting was an accident.

"Oh God, yes," said his girlfriend, Janice Duran. "This is more feasible in our economy. He takes care of me. He takes care of all of us. It's a sinking ship without him."
