Peace race STREET CLOSINGS

A selection of Youngstown streets will be closed from 8 a.m. through 2:30 p.m. Sunday to accommodate the 40th annual Peace Race. They include: Commerce Street between Walnut and Belmont; Champion Street between Commerce and Front Street; Belmont between Commerce and Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.; Front Street starting at MLK Jr. Blvd. and ending at South Champion; Vindicator Square between Commerce and West Front; and Federal Plaza between Wick and Fifth Avenue.

A few downtown streets will reopen after the Peace Race’s two-mile walk/run event is completed by 10:30 a.m.
