They need all five game, but the top-seeded Windham Bombers were able to defeat Mathews in the Division IV volleyball district final. Jessica Isler played a key role for the Bomber (22-2) in the middle with 47 assists and three kills. The majority of her passes were to teammate Dari Heller, who finished with 21 kills on the night. The Mustangs (19-7) were nearly able to pull it out in the fourth game, but the two-point loss set the stage for a dramatic fifth and final game. Marisa O’Dell had 22 kills, Maddison Williams had 12 kills and 26 digs and Katarina Schubert added 23 assists. Windham will play the winner of the Medina district next Wenesday at Solon High School at 7:30 p.m.
