Gardening Basics: Shrubs for Your Garden

What: Explore the gardens with Lynn Zocolo to learn about lesser-known shrubs perfect for the home landscape. Callicarpa, Kerria and Enkianthus are just a few that can add interest to your garden.

BIRD BANDING

When: Saturday, 8 a.m.-noon

What: See live, wild songbirds in the hand and learn why bird banding is an important tool for bird and wildlife conservation. Drop in any time between 8 a.m. and noon. Canceled for rain; session may be shortened due to weather.

Wax Pumpkins

When: Saturday, 10–11:30 a.m.

What: Learn how to create your own wax pumpkin candles by melting those leftover bits and pieces of crayons.

Cultivate the Mind for Well-Being

When: Saturday, 9:30–11:30 a.m.

What: You are a calla lily. Session three with Michelle O’Brien recaps the previous sessions and focuses on practical methods to have the confidence to believe you operate in more accomplished ways.

ACOUSTIC JAM

When: Nov. 2, 2-4 p.m.

What: Join us for a music jam. Bring an instrument or just come to listen. Beginners are welcome. Make new friends and learn a new tune or two.
