Trumbull commissioners OK paving contract

Trumbull County commissioners awarded a contract Wednesday for $1.17 million to the Shelly Co. of Twinsburg for paving projects in Brookfield, Weathersfield, Howland and Warren townships.

Two of the projects may be finished this fall with four others waiting until spring.

The two for this fall are in Brookfield — Warren-Sharon Road from the Pennsylvania line about 0.75 miles to Brookfield Avenue, and about 1.25 miles of Bedford Road from state Route 82 to Stewart-Sharon Road.

The four that will be done next spring are 0.82 miles of North Road in Howland Township from Reeves Road to North River Road; 0.7 miles of Deforest Townline Road on the Weathersfield-Howland border from state Route 169 to North Road; 0.25 miles of West Park Avenue from Austintown-Warren Road to the Lordstown corporation limit; and 1.4 miles of North Leavitt Road in Warren Township from West Market Street to near Parkman Road.
