Actress contacted by police before she was found dead

AUBURN, Wash.

Suburban Seattle police said they contacted actress Misty Upham, known for her roles in “August: Osage County,” ‘’Frozen River” and “Django Unchained,” several times before she was found dead in a ravine last week.

Auburn police said Tuesday that officers contacted Upham four times since July 2013, and each time she agreed to be taken by private ambulance for further evaluation. Once she told investigators she had a black eye and an ankle injury from jumping out a second-story window.

The manner of her death hasn’t been determined, but police say there was no sign of foul play. However, her father has said he doesn’t believe she committed suicide.

‘S.H.I.E.L.D’ fans push for romance

NEW YORK

There’s Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, aka Brangelina, and Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, aka Kimye. But are you ready for Philinda?

Clark Gregg says that’s the moniker “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” fans have come up with as they push for an on-screen romance between his character, S.H.I.E.L.D. chief Phil Coulson, and longtime agent Melinda May, played by Ming-Na Wen.

The 52-year-old Gregg says some “very vocal and passionate” viewers have been on social-media sites saying they “want to see that come to some kind of fruition” on the ABC show.
