Hubbard, Mooney win district volleyball titles

Hubbard and Cardinal Mooney captured volleyball district championships Wednesday night.

The Eagles out lasted Mantua Crestwood, 3-2, in the Division II district final at West Branch High School. Hubbard spotted the Red Devils the first two games, but won the last three.

The Cardinals defeated Mineral Ridge, 3-1, in the Division III district final at Salem High School.

Both Hubbard and Mooney will play in regional semifinals next week.

Windham defeated Mathews, 3-2, in a Division IV district final at Lakeview High School.
