Pink Hair Day event Friday at HMHP hospitals for breast cancer awareness

Humility of Mary Health Partners will raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of regular screening mammograms by hosting a Pink Hair for the Cure Day on Friday at all three hospitals — St. Elizabeth Health Center, 1044 Belmont Ave., St. Joseph Health Center, 667 Eastland Ave. SE in Warren and St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, 8401 Market St.

Stylists from Deja vu Salon, which is located inside Aria Salon, 362 Boardman Poland Road, will be at the hospitals selling pink hair extensions from 8 to 10 a.m.

The hair extensions cost $10 with 50 percent of the proceeds benefiting the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center and the St. Joseph Cancer Center.
