Neighborhood meetings set for Oct., Nov.

YOUNGSTOWN

Neighborhood planning meetings, produced in conjunction with the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. and the city where documents for each area are introduced, are planned throughout the rest of this month and November.

Remaining meeting locations and times are:

Today, Garden District neighborhood, 6:30 p.m., at Fellows Riverside Gardens, 123 McKinley Ave.

Oct. 28, Lincoln Knolls neighborhood, 5:30 p.m., East branch library, 430 Early Road.

Oct. 29, Rocky Ridge neighborhood, 6:30 p.m., Our Lady Comforter of the Afflicted Church, 517 S. Belle Vista Ave.

Nov. 4, Boulevard Park neighborhood, 6:30 p.m., Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd.

Nov. 5, Handel’s neighborhood, 6 p.m., the Newport branch library, 3730 Market St.

The YNDC is also planning a citywide meeting to discuss a new document, the Neighborhood Revitalization Strategy Report. The report will detail strategies complimentary to recommendations made in the individual neighborhood action plans, but focuses on addressing issues at a citywide level. This meeting is planned for some time in November.
