Jillian Smith and Matthew MacKenzie exchanged vows in a 5:30 p.m. ceremony July 26 at Youngstown Country Club, where a reception followed. The Rev. W. Michael Byus officiated.

Her parents are Tim and Doris Smith of Vienna, and his parents are Warren and Mary Kate MacKenzie of Wexford, Pa.

After a honeymoon in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, the couple reside in Chicago.

The bride wore an ivory alencon lace trumpet gown with a silhouette keyhole back and fingertip lace veil.

Kristina Rukas was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Angie Wakefield; Abby Roetger, the bride’s cousin; Christen MacKenzie Dundon and Elizabeth MacKenzie Biedell, sisters of the groom; Dana Williams; and Krista Antonucci. Kate Biedell, the groom’s niece, was the flower girl.

The attendants wore peach chiffon silk knee length dresses.

Jeff Rukas performed the duties of best man. Groomsmen were Jared Smith, the bride’s brother; Scott Kramer; Bill Miller; Mike Belliveau; Mike Madalon; and Chris Bernardi.

Ring bearer was Ben Biedell, the groom’s nephew.

Rachel Smith and Gretchen Elsey, cousins of the bride, also participated.

Mrs. MacKenzie earned a master’s degree in teaching from National Louis University. She teaches third grade in the Chicago Public School system.

Her husband earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and sports management from Miami University of Ohio. He is a digital marketing consultant for Reach Local in Chicago.
