AUCTIONS

St. Rose Home and School will sponsor its 18th annual Home and School Auction at 6 p.m. Saturday at St. Rose gymnasium, 61 E. main St. Tickets are $30 each and include a dinner buffet at 6:30. BAZAARS

Gustavus Federated Church, south of the intersection of routes 87 and 193, Farmdale, will host its annual bazaar and turkey dinner from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday. The meal includes dressing, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, squash, cranberries, coleslaw, rolls, beverage and dessert. Carryouts will be available. The price is $10 for adults and $5 for children. The Country Store inside the church opens at 1 p.m. and will feature baked goods and homemade candy while it lasts. The church is handicap accessible from the West entrance.

New Bedford Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 151 Woodland Drive, Pulaski, Pa., will have its annual fall bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 1. Specialty rooms will feature Christmas, crafts, cookies, candy and trash and treasure. Lunch will be available, and homemade soup and baked goods will be sold for takeout. BINGO/Card PARTIES

Auxiliary of the Oblate Sisters of the Sacred Heart will host its annual fall card party from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at 50 Warner Road, Hubbard. Tickets are $6 at the door and $5 for children, and the fun will include card games, bingo, BYO games, basket raffles, a 50-50 raffle and a light lunch.

Liberty Presbyterian Church, 1451 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, will have Basket Bingo at 1 p.m. Sunday. Doors open at noon and games begin at 1. There is a $5 charge for admission, which includes master three on card. There will be baskets to win and a 50-50 raffle. Food will be available for sale. There is limited seating; early ticket sales are available by calling the church and leaving a message at 330-759-1556. Call will be returned.

St. Charles Church Ladies Guild will have a bingo and card party from 2:30 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the church on Westview Drive in Boardman. Refreshments will be served. Admission is $5.

St. Patrick Altar Guild will sponsor a card party, bingo and salad buffet from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday in the social hall, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. Admission is $5 per person at the door.

BOOK SALES

Hubbard Friends of the Library book sale will take place Wednesday through Saturday at the Hubbard Public Library, 436 W. Liberty St. Hours on Wednesday and Thursday will be 9 a.m. to 7:45 p.m. Hours for Friday are 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. Saturday hours are 9 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and will feature a $2-a-bag sale. CASINO NIGHTS

St. Joseph the Provider School will sponsor a night at the races/casino night at 6 p.m. Saturday at the St. Joseph the Provider School/St. Anthony of Padua Church complex, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown. Buy a horse for $10 per race. Sponsor a race for $50 for advertising. Admission (for those 21 and over), food and refreshments are free. For information call the school office at 330-259-0353. CRAFT SHOWS

Hickory Band Boosters is sponsoring the Old Hickory Craft Show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in Hickory High School, North Hermitage Road, Hermitage, Pa. More than 100 exhibitors will be selling crafts, and there will be a large bucket auction and homemade lunches. Admission is $2, and parking is free. All proceeds benefit the high school band program.

Shepherd of the Valley staff will host its annual craft show from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 21 at 1500 McKinley Ave., Niles. Vendors are being sought. The craft show proceeds will go to the Niles activity department to help fund special events for the residents.

FESTIVALS/FAIRS

Jackson-Milton PTA will sponsor its annual Fall Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Jackson-Milton Elementary School, 14110 Mahoning Ave. The event will feature free games for children, a basket auction, 50-50 raffle, inflatable slide, clowns and food sales. A children’s costume contest will begin at 2 p.m., and prizes will be awarded for each age group. The basket auction will take place at 3 p.m.

SALES

Helping Hands Closet at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, has fall fashions available, new and used for the entire family. Buy two items and get one free. Also, sign up for a door prize. Open each Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Serendipity Christian Preschool in Boardman will be host its annual Trash and Treasure Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 119 Stadium Drive. Most items are 50 cents, with a buck-a-bag starting at 2 p.m. Many household items, toys, furniture items and clothes will be available. Upton Association will have its annual Christmas sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 14 and 15. Dec. 5 is the Christmas Open House, and the theme is Toys, Trees and Teddy Bears. West Side Cats will sponsor a large garage sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at 1259 S. State St., Girard. Bicycles, golf clubs and sports equipment, toys, collectibles, clothing and more are for sale. All profits benefit the cats and kittens at the shelter.

TRIPS

Buhl Park Corp. will host a bus trip Sunday to Mountaineer Casino and Racetrack. All proceeds will benefit Buhl Park. Cost is $30, and participants will receive $25 in gaming vouchers. Departure will be at 10 a.m., and return will be at 7 p.m. Drop-off and pickup will be at the park’s casino parking lot, located within park grounds at 715 Hazen Road. Seating is limited.
