Omarosa latest reality star to tour with candidate Turner

YOUNGSTOWN — Reality TV star Omarosa Manigault, a Youngstown native, will campaign Thursday in her hometown with state Sen. Nina Turner, Democratic nominee for secretary of state.

They will be outside the Mahoning County Board of Elections, 345 Oak Hill Ave., at 3 p.m. to urge people to vote early.

“Safe schools, smooth roads, and strong neighborhoods all start at the ballot box,” Turner said. “The power to shape the future of our communities rests with our vote, and it is imperative that every eligible Ohioan cast theirs this fall.”

Manigault was on the first season of “The Apprentice” and later appeared on “Celebrity Apprentice,” and numerous other reality TV shows.

Joining them will be state Rep. Tom Letson of Warren, a Democrat running for a seat on the Ohio Supreme Court in this election, and Jeff Johnson, a journalist and motivational speaker who grew up in Cleveland.

Last week, Turner had TV talk personality Jerry Springer at a similar event in Warren at the Trumbull County Board of Elections.
