Hubbard tops Division III state poll

The Hubbard High School football team remains the top team in Division III in the latest Associated Press state poll.

The Eagles (8-0) received 20 first-place votes from the panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.

In Division VII, Western Reserve (7-1) finished sixth, four places behind Gloucester Trimble, the team that knocked the Blue Devils out of the playoffs last fall in the state semifinals.

Undefeated McDonald, the team that defeated Western Reserve in Week 6, is ranked seventh in Division VI.

Ursuline (6-2) has the eighth spot in Division V.
