Sweeney kicks off a charity drive

Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC announces the kick-off of Operation Santa Claus to support local charities.

Sweeney has selected five local organizations as finalists and has asked that the public help select two beneficiaries of this year’s project.

The finalists are United Way, the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, Angels for Animals, the Boys & Girls Club of Youngstown and the Salvation Army Red Kettle Campaign of Mahoning County.

From now through Oct. 31, Sweeney will use social media to collect votes for the charities. To vote, go to www.sweeneycars.com/vote. Individuals may vote one time per day through 11:59 p.m. Oct. 31.

Then for every new vehicle sold at Sweeney from Nov. 15 to Dec. 31, they will make a $50 donation to the two charities with the most votes.
