King Collision is opening its fourth location in the Mahoning Valley at 5801 Southern Blvd. Doug Fenstermaker, owner of King’s, decided to add a second repair facility to the Boardman area due to the tremendous growth of business since he opened the township’s first location at 8020 Market St. in 2002.

King Collision also has locations in Warren and Hubbard.

Workforce program

YOUNGSTOWN

The Mahoning Youngstown Community Action Partnership, 1325 Fifth Ave., has scheduled the dates and times of its information sessions for their first Workforce Development Program of 2014. They are 2 to 4 p.m. Monday, and 9 to 11 a.m., noon to 2 p.m. and 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.

The information sessions give an outline of what is covered in the class, details of the program and what is expected from each participant. Candidates interested in the Nov. 5 class must attend one of the informational sessions. Class space is limited.

Workforce Development is a program that helps residents in Mahoning County learn basic work-related skills.

Woman of the Year

YOUNGSTOWN

Becky Dearing Wall, vice president and treasurer of Dearing Compressor and Pump Co., will be honored as Woman of the Year during a special event Tuesday during National Business Women’s Week, sponsored by the Youngstown Business & Professional Women’s Club. The award dinner will take place at 5:30 p.m. at Antone’s Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St., Boardman. Tickets are $50, which includes the dinner, mystery box give away, basket raffle and a presentation by Dearing Wall.

Roofer applications

VIENNA

The Roofers Joint Apprenticeship Program will accept applications for roofers.

A copy of the application can be received by sending an email request to Dan@TheBuildersOnline.com or by visiting the office of the Roofers Joint Apprenticeship Committee in the offices of the Builders Association of Eastern OH & Western PA at this address: 1372 Youngstown-Kingsville Road SE, Vienna.

Applications are to be received no later than Oct. 31.

‘Taste in Salem’ set

SALEM

The Salem Area Chamber of Commerce will have the 18th annual “Taste in Salem” to benefit the United Way Services of Northern Columbiana County at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Salem Country Club, 12688 Salem-Warren Road.

Tickets are available at the chamber office, 713 E. State St. They are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. There will be food, entertainment, a raffle and an auction.
