YOUNGSTOWN
Police arrested a man early Wednesday who reports said was running around wearing only a pair of socks and knocking on doors at a downtown apartment complex.
Officers were called to International Towers, 25 Market St., about 6:10 a.m. by a man who said a resident, later identified as 45-year-old Kevin Meetin, knocked on his door.
When the man opened his door, Meetin was standing there wearing only socks.
The man yelled at Meetin, and he ran away down a hallway, reports said.
The man then went to the lobby where other residents were gathered.
The residents said that Meetin had also knocked on their doors.
Police searched a couple of floors for the man.
They then were told he was in a stairwell; that is where he was found.
He was cuffed without incident but he could not get into his apartment to get clothes because he was locked out, reports said.
Another resident gave officers a towel Meetin could use to cover himself on the way to the Mahoning County jail.
Meetin was booked into the jail on charges of disorderly conduct and attempted burglary, reports said.
