Appraisers canvassing Columbiana Co. properties next week
LISBON — In connection with the 2016 re-valuation of Columbiana County property, appraisers will review residential agricultural properties in Knox and West townships as early as next week.
County Auditor Nancy Milliken says the appraisers the county hired will be out in these areas to obtain up-to-date information concerning many homes and farms.
Appraisers will be visiting property owners between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday in order to interview them about particular characteristics of their home or farm. An on foot/drive-by inspection of the exterior of the properties may be part of the process.
Milliken said the appraiser will have valid identification.
If no one is home at the time of the visit, the appraisers will leave a door-card questionnaire which property owners are required to complete and mail back to the auditor’s field appraisal office.
