UPDATED | Winner of one-millionth Cruze announced

U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown loves the General Motors Lordstown plant.

"You have a reason to celebrate today," he said.

Brown announced Sharon Frey of the United Auto Worker Local 1112 as the winner of the one-millionth Lordstown-built Chevrolet Cruze on Wednesday.

The raffle was opened to all UAW Local 1112 and Local 1714 members and some 20,000 retirees.

It was built on April 10, 2014 and selected to be raffled off by the UAWs at Lordstown.

Frey came in to see her new Lordstown-built Chevrolet Cruze in her United Auto Worker Local 1112 hooded sweatshirt.

"I had to wear it today," she said.

The 20-year worker of the east plant at General Motors Lordstown was ecstatic to hear she won the red one-millionth Cruze built on April 10.

"Of course I wanted it," she said. "I work on it everyday. Of course I want the Cruze."
