Staff report
LISBON
Columbiana County Auditor Nancy Milliken announced that her website has been updated to show the levies being presented to the voters at this November election and the cost of each levy to the individual property owners.
Issues to be presented for voter approval at this election involve Butler Township, Center Township (2), Columbiana City, Children’s Services, East Liverpool City (2), East Liverpool City School District, East Palestine Village, Elkrun Township, Franklin Township, Hanover Township (2), Liverpool Township, Madison Township, Salem City, Salem City School District, Southern Local School District, Summitville Village, Washington Township and Wayne Township.
To determine the levies that will be voted upon in individual taxing districts, and if there will be an increase in taxes if a levy is approved, sign in to the website at www.columbianacntyauditor.org, click on “property search” and then call up the property by name or parcel number. From there, click the levy info tab on the left side and finally click on “click here for your levy information” at the center of the page. It should be noted that only levies are displayed and not other issues that may be on the ballot.
The information displayed will show the levy being proposed, the purpose of the levy, the type of levy (additional, renewal, etc.), the millage of the levy, the current levy amount (if any), an estimated annual tax amount and a notation of when the levy becomes due.
Milliken explained that this information is being provided as a service of her office and that any concerns regarding the individual levies should be directed to local townships or school boards.
