The Rose Mary Flanagan Ovarian Cancer Foundation is sponsoring Tailgating for Teal to raise awareness of ovarian cancer from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Youngstown State University Hospitality Tailgate Lot before YSU’s 73rd homecoming game when YSU takes on Southern Illinois.
Tailgating will begin at 1 p.m. At 2 p.m., the homecoming parade will come down Fifth Avenue. The game starts at 4 p.m.
The $10 ticket price includes a ticket to the game and pregame snacks and fun at the Rose Mary Flanagan Ovarian Cancer Foundation hospitality tent. RSVP by visiting www.rmfocf.org or calling Erin Flanagan Lonsway at 330-518-2431.
Annual health fair
YOUNGSTOWN
The YMCA of Youngstown’s annual health fair will take place from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 22.
More than 90 booths will be set up at the central YMCA on the corner of Commerce and Champion streets, promoting healthy lifestyles, offering free screenings, administering flu and pneumonia shots and doing blood work, an increase from last year’s 70 vendors.
A variety of services will be offered from American Red Cross, Youngstown City Health District, Akron Children’s Hospital, Humility of Mary Health Partners, Belmont Pines Hospital, Help Hotline Crisis Center, Mammovan, Alzheimer’s Network and more. The event is open to all families and individuals in the community.

Free eye screenings
GIRARD
The Girard Lions Club is offering free eye screenings for all ages from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Girard Multi-Generational Center, 443 Trumbull Ave.
Adult flu shots
NILES
Adult flu shots for those age 19 and older will be offered from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. each Tuesday through Thursday at the Niles City Health Department, 34 W. State St. No appointment is needed.
Take Medicaid/Medicare or Anthem Senior Advantage ID cards. For all other HMOs, the cost of the shot will be $20.
Flu shots for young children
NILES
Seasonal flu shots for children 6 months to 18 years will be given at the Niles Senior Center, 14 E. State St., from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday. No appointment is needed. Cost will be $10; it will be no cost to those who have Medicaid or those without health insurance.
Health at Home workshop offered
WARREN
Humility of Mary Health Partners will offer a one-hour workshop, Health at Home, on Oct. 22 at St. Joseph Health Center, 667 Eastland Ave., Warren.
The workshop includes an easy-to-use reference guide that provides information about more than 200 common health problems as well as tips on caring for yourself and your family, preventing illness and injury, and advice on when to seek medical attention.
The morning session runs from 11 a.m. to noon in the Warren Room; the evening session runs from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The workshop and all materials are free, but reservations are required. Call 330-480-3070.
