Annual concert

Penn-Ohio Singers, Shenango Valley Chaper of Barbershop Harmony Society, involves members from Ohio and Pennsylvania. It was organized in 1982. The group’s website, www.pennohiosingers.org, explains the a cappella music as four voices with three harmonizing to the melody, sung by the lead part. The tenor harmonizes above the lead; the bass sings the lowest harmonizing notes. The baritone part provides “in-between” notes that gives barbershop its original and rich sounds.
