Lowellville police raise almost $500 selling hotdogs

LOWELLVILLE

Police donated their time from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday to cook hot dogs for community members at the last car show of the season on Water Street in Lowellville. The car show had a Halloween theme where some cars were decked out for the holiday and some people dressed up for the show. Police raised almost $500 from selling hot dogs at the show.

Police Chief Ryan Bonacci said all money raised Monday will go to fund Shop with a Cop this Christmas.

"It's been overwhelming the support we've got for Shop with a Cop so far," Bonacci said. "Overall we have raised almost $1,000."

Bonacci said he hopes Lowellville can send at least 12 kids to the Shop with a Cop this Christmas season. They have enough money to send 10 kids currently.
