A man was arrested on obstruction of justice charges Sunday after reports said he haggled with officers for about 30 minutes because he would not give him his real name.
Police were called to the McDonald’s at 570 Fifth Ave. about 4 p.m. for a report of a man who was escorted out earlier in the day but came back. When police arrived the man gave them several names and also gave them a birth date but did not know how old he was.
Reports said the man was arrested on a criminal trespass charge and he was taken back to the Mahoning County jail to be booked. While there, a corrections officers recognized him as Jerry Bradford, 22, of Martin Luther King Boulevard. Reports said the corrections officer told police Bradford had just been released from the jail in September.
