61 Eagle's Nest locations to close

PITTSBURGH

Giant Eagle has started a reorganization of its child Eagle’s Nest child care centers.

The company has provided customers with the option to have their child cared for at more than 100 supermarket locations for some time, but recently decided to transition to operate 48 Eagle’s Nest in-store activity centers.

“As a result of this regionalized approach, the company is closing 61 Eagle’s Nest locations across all of its marketing areas,” said Dan Donovan, marketing manager, corporate communications for Giant Eagle. “The company is working closely with Eagle’s Nest team members affected by these closings to place those interested in open positions throughout their current stores or in other locations.”

The Eagle’s Nest locations that will remain open as of Oct. 18 in Northeast Ohio include: Solon, Avon Lake, Rocky River, Green, Stow, Churchill Commons, The Strip, Strongsville, Route 81 and I-77, Stowe, Wadsworth, Day Drive, Medina, Watertower, Painesville, Washington Square, Calcutta, Niles and Warren Plaza.
