“The Walking Dead” (9 p.m., AMC): What the heck is going on in Terminus? That’s the mysterious outpost where Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and some of his fellow survivors thought they might find “sanctuary.” Instead they found themselves locked up in a dark train boxcar during last March’s cliffhanger. Season 5 of the zombie sensation opens with a frantic escape attempt and some glimpses into the motives of the Terminus residents.
“The Affair” (10 p.m., Showtime): “The Affair” is a stunningly provocative new drama that explores the emotional and psychological fallout of an extramarital affair between a novelist (Dominic West) and a waitress (Ruth Wilson) during a summer on Long Island. Maura Tierney and Joshua Jackson round out the excellent cast.
“America’s Funniest Home Videos” (7 p.m., ABC): Get ready for another whole season of crotch-pummeling fun.

Community Artworks Regional Annual Art Exhibition is on display through November at Art Outreach Gallery in Eastwood Mall.
Hours are 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays, 1 to 9 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays.
Awards, selected by juror Al Bright, are as follows:
James O’Malley, Juror’s Award/Best in Show; Jeff Piper, first place for body of work; Christopher Duncan, second place; Tim L. Wagner; third place; Ellie Steines, fourth place.
