Retirement event for teachers planned

Diana Bauman and Anna Mae Cuchna will lead a free preretirement seminar for local teachers enrolled in STRS from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 2860 Market St.

The event is sponsored by the Ashtabula County Educational Service Center and the Trumbull County Retired Teachers

Speakers will be John Buch from STRS and Atty. Jack Alpern with a special presentation from the Ohio RTA.

The seminar will cover health care, survivor benefits, disability concerns, Social Security, defined pension plans, legal matters and benefits through ORTA. Certificates of attendance and refreshments will be provided .
