Animal short-circuits a chunk of Bazetta and Howland townships
HOWLAND
Some 4,500 customers, the majority of them in the Howland and Bazetta township areas, were without power for nearly two hours Saturday afternoon after an animal entered Ohio Edison’s Elm Road substation in Warren and caused a short circuit. The outage lasted from 3 to 4:52 p.m., according to Robin Patton, the utility’s Trumbull County area manager. Patton said she did not know what type of animal entered the substation and caused the power failure.
