Alexandria Mendez of Boardman and Matthew Norge of New Castle, Pa., exchanged vows May 30 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Park. The Rev. Bob Offerdahl officiated at the 4:30 p.m. ceremony. A reception followed at the S.N.P.J. Recreation Center in Enon Valley, Pa.
Her parents are Debra Leonard of Boardman and David Mendez of Las Vegas, and his parents are James and Janet Norge of New Castle.
After a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple reside in New Castle.
The bride wore an A-line lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and a beaded sash at the waist. It was completed with a cathedral-length veil.
The bride’s sister, Ashley Tilton, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Rhiann Gordon and Nicole Martin. The bride’s niece, Grace Tilton, was the flower girl.
The attendants wore Victorian lilac dresses.
Jimmy Norge, the groom’s brother, was best man. Groomsmen were Chris Cialella and Neil Goff. The groom’s nephew, Greyson Northrop, was the ring bearer.
Mrs. Norge graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in education. She works as an education assistant at New Castle School of Trades.
Her husband received a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from YSU and a bachelor’s degree in physics from Slippery Rock University. He also received a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. He works as a mechanical engineer for Westinghouse in Cranberry Township.
