West Boulevard ranked 10th in Ohio
According to the state report card, West Boulevard Elementary School ranked 10th out of 2,888 K-4 buildings in the state. In comparison to the 3,311 school buildings statewide, West Blvd. ranked 38th. The school earned a performance index score of 112.386.
The Performance Index (PI) Score measures the achievement of every student regardless of their level of proficiency. Schools receive points for every level of achievement, with more points being awarded for higher passing scores. Untested students are also included in the overall calculation. Districts/Schools receive zero points for these individuals. For the purposes of assigning letter grades, a PI Score of 120 is considered to be a perfect score. Districts and schools will receive one of five letter grades from “A” through “F” based on the percentage of total possible points earned.
West Boulevad Elementary School also met all four indicators on the state report card with 98.8 percent passage rate in all areas of testing.
“Our staff, parents and school community hold each other to very high expectations. All stakeholders including the students, parents, grandparents and entire school staff have a wonderful working relationship which is a necessity to continue with this high quality of education,” said Principal Al Cervello. “As always, we are proud of the accomplishments of our students and the support we receive from their families.
