Local businesswoman Carrie Sturgeon was guest speaker at the Rotary Club of Austintown on Sept. 15, explaining the operations of Power Tool and Supply on LeHarps Road.

Sturgeon and her sister inherited the business from her father, and combining with another female partner, are now a fully female owned company. Employing 15, they specialize in tools for the steel, oil and gas industries, also serving commercial tool users in the Cleveland to Pittsburgh markets. Sturgeon is a Fitch alumni, keeping her business near home.

President Vince Colaluca encouraged members to sell more flags, which are becoming more evident along the streets of Austintown. For $30 per year, a nylon flag will be installed in subscribers’ yards for six patriotic holidays a year, between May and November, then stored and maintained in the interim. More information can be obtained at austintownflags.com or by contacting Mark Cole at 330-720-0381.

This project enables the Rotary to fund some of its local and worldwide donations.
