Historical society will have Big Foot display

Salem Historical Society will have its monthly meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Dale Shaffer Library’s meeting room, 239 S. Lundy Ave. After a brief business meeting, the program “Sasquatch: Big Foot in the Ohio Valley” will be presented by Dan Baker, who will describe local experiences tracking and searching for this hominidlike creature in Columbiana and Carroll Counties. Park in the municipal parking lot on South Lundy.

On display will be foot casts, a knuckle cast, a 7-foot 9-inch tall fur-covered model of a bigfoot, and a model head used on the “Monster Quest” TV program on the History Channel.

Joan Lora will serve as greeter, and refreshments will be provided by Kevin Schafer and David Shivers. For information call the museum at 330-337-8514.
