Taking full advantage of a beautiful fall day, attendees of the Junior Women’s League of Canfield’s 45th annual Fall Market browsed through the 130 vendors on the Green Sept. 20.
The vendors offered a variety of items, including holiday crafts, food, jewelry, clothing, homemade baked goods, antiques and collectibles and Canfield Cardinals items.
The Fall Market is a group effort among the members of the Junior Women’s League of Canfield and is the organizations largest annual fundraiser. Proceeds from the Fall Market fund three $1,000 scholarships given to high school seniors each spring who enter their essay contest. Proceeds are also donated to several local charities, such as the Rescue Mission, Second Harvest Food Bank and Beatitude House. The organization also provides Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance to three local families.
The Fall Market boasts many local vendors, but also offers vendors who come from all over the state. A majority of the vendors are also repeaters.
“I would say 70-80 percent of our vendors are repeaters and have been with us for several years, and many travel from around the state, and farther, to be here,” said Diane Smythe, Junior Women’s League of Canfield member.

“We are always looking for new members,” Smythe said.
